Privacy Statement

Ready is designed to keep your work on your devices and in services you choose. This statement explains what data Ready handles, where it goes, and the controls available to you.

Effective and last updated: July 29, 2026

1. Who is responsible

Ready: Tasks & Notes (“Ready”) is provided by Softverse, based in Slovakia. For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact info@softverse.sk.

2. The short version

  • Ready does not require a Ready account.
  • Your tasks, notes, drawings, attachments, and settings are primarily stored on your device.
  • If iCloud is available, internal Ready data syncs through your private Apple CloudKit database.
  • Microsoft To Do access is optional and happens directly between Ready on your device and Microsoft Graph.
  • AI is off by default. When enabled, only the content needed for an action is sent directly to the provider you select.
  • Ready does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

3. Data stored by the app

Local Ready content

Ready stores the content you create, including tasks, notes, checklists, tags, drawings, attachments, background images, links between items, and app preferences. Search indexes and working caches are kept locally and can be rebuilt from your content.

iCloud and CloudKit

When you use Ready while signed in to iCloud, internal Ready content can synchronize through Apple CloudKit so it is available on your Apple devices. This data is held in your private iCloud database and is processed by Apple under your agreement with Apple. Softverse does not operate a separate cloud account system for this content and does not receive it through a Softverse server.

Linked folders

On Mac, you may grant Ready access to local folders containing Markdown files and related assets. Ready reads and writes those files in place. Any synchronization of those folders by iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Git, or another tool is controlled by that tool and by you.

4. Microsoft account and Microsoft To Do

If you choose to connect a personal Microsoft account or a work or school account, Ready uses Microsoft’s OAuth 2.0 authorization flow and requests these permissions: openid, profile, offline_access, User.Read, and Tasks.ReadWrite.

These permissions allow Ready to:

  • identify the connected Microsoft account by account ID, display name, and sign-in name;
  • read Microsoft To Do lists, tasks, checklist items, and task attachments;
  • create, update, move, and delete Microsoft To Do lists and tasks when you perform those actions in Ready; and
  • keep the connection active until you disconnect it or Microsoft revokes access.

Microsoft access and refresh tokens are stored in the system Keychain on your device. Ready keeps a local mirror of Microsoft To Do data so it can work offline and present unified task views. Because Ready’s task store uses your private iCloud database, mirrored task data may also synchronize through your iCloud account to your other Ready devices.

During normal use, Microsoft account and To Do data travels between Ready on your device, Microsoft, and—when iCloud sync applies—Apple. Softverse does not receive your Microsoft access tokens, Microsoft profile, lists, tasks, or attachments through a Softverse server.

You can disconnect a Microsoft account in Ready’s Accounts settings. This removes the stored credentials and Ready’s mirrored data for that connection; it does not delete the original data in Microsoft To Do. You can also revoke Ready’s permission from your Microsoft account or organization’s app-consent controls.

5. Optional AI features

AI features are disabled until you select OpenAI or Anthropic and provide your own API key. The key is stored in Apple Keychain and may synchronize through iCloud Keychain if that feature is enabled for your Apple account.

When you explicitly run an AI action, Ready sends the text, image, or other context needed for that action directly from your device to the provider you selected. Softverse does not proxy or store that content. The provider processes it under your agreement and its privacy terms. Ready does not perform background AI indexing and does not send your workspace to an AI provider merely because AI is configured.

6. Feedback and support

If you send feedback from Ready, Softverse receives your message, an optional reply email address, the platform, app version, and operating-system version. Ready does not attach your account data, tasks, notes, or files to feedback submissions.

Feedback is transmitted over HTTPS and stored using Microsoft Azure. We use it to respond to you, diagnose issues, improve Ready, and protect the feedback service from abuse. We retain it only for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes and legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it.

7. Website and technical requests

The Ready website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. It stores only your light or dark appearance choice in your browser’s local storage. Hosting and network providers may process ordinary request data such as IP address, request time, requested URL, and browser information to deliver and secure the website.

Ready may contact Softverse endpoints to check for app updates and retrieve a small AI model configuration. These requests do not include your workspace content or Microsoft account data. Infrastructure providers may process ordinary network metadata needed to operate and secure those endpoints.

8. Legal bases, sharing, and transfers

Where European data-protection law applies, Softverse processes feedback and support data to perform requested support, pursue the legitimate interest of improving and securing Ready, comply with legal obligations, and—where required—based on your consent.

Softverse does not sell personal data. Data is disclosed only to service providers needed to operate the website and feedback service, when you direct Ready to use Apple, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, or another service, or when disclosure is legally required. Those providers may process data outside your country and use contractual or other lawful transfer safeguards where required.

9. Security and retention

Ready uses platform protections such as the Apple sandbox, Keychain storage, HTTPS, OAuth authorization-code flow with PKCE, and private CloudKit storage. No system is completely secure, but we limit the data handled by Softverse and use safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data.

App content remains until you delete it, remove the app and its data, or manage it through the connected service. Retention by Apple, Microsoft, an AI provider, or a linked-folder sync provider is governed by your settings and agreement with that provider.

10. Your choices and rights

You can choose whether to use iCloud, Microsoft To Do, linked folders, feedback, and AI features. You can edit or delete Ready content in the app, disconnect Microsoft accounts, remove AI keys, revoke third-party permissions, and uninstall Ready.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data processed by Softverse, and to withdraw consent. Contact info@softverse.sk to make a request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in Slovakia, this is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.

11. Children and changes

Ready is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children below the age at which they may independently consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the feedback service without appropriate permission.

We may update this statement when Ready or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised statement here and change the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted through an appropriate notice.
