Changed

  • Connected Microsoft accounts need signing in once more after this update. Until you do, they show "Signed out — sign in again to resume sync" in Settings › Accounts. Nothing on your Mac, iPhone or iPad is lost.

Fixed

  • A Microsoft work account now signs in on a device your company manages. Where only registered devices are allowed, sign-in used to fail on a Microsoft error page; it now goes through Microsoft Authenticator, and says when a device is not registered.

Added

  • An Inbox for notes. A note made without picking a folder — and anything captured or imported — waits there until you file it.
  • A folder now opens a screen of its own, listing its subfolders and notes; clicking the arrow only expands it.
  • A folder screen can act on the folder you are looking at — New note here, New subfolder, Rename, Move to… and Delete.
  • Star a folder or a note and it gathers in Important — from the row, its menu, a swipe on touch, or ⇧⌘D.
  • Opening a linked folder lists everything actually in it. What is not Markdown opens in Quick Look and is never imported. (Mac only)
  • A linked folder that is a Git working copy shows the branch, what is uncommitted and when the last commit was. Ready only ever reads it. (Mac only)

Changed

  • The sidebar is now two tabs — Tasks and Notes. Each has the whole sidebar to itself and remembers what you had open, so your notes are no longer a section pushed below the lists. ⌘1 and ⌘2 move between them. (Mac and iPad; the iPhone already keeps tasks and notes apart)
  • The iPad sidebar header makes room for the switch — search pulls down over the list, and ✨ leads to the assistant, voice capture and the actions. (iPad only)
  • *Settings › Notes now says New notes go to**, starting on Inbox. The old First notebook (automatic)* option is gone.
  • Settings › Notes can cap Recents in the sidebar — off, 5, 10 or 20. Nothing is forgotten when you lower it.
  • Ready can now open on the notes Inbox, chosen in Settings › General.
  • A linked folder now reads as a card with its path under the name, with a small orange branch when it is a Git working copy. (Mac only)

Fixed

  • A web address or a #tag in a task title is now tappable in the task detail too, not only on the task list.

  • Task rows now show the whole task title, wrapping onto more lines instead of cutting it off. The due day moves under the title, beside the list and the other markers, leaving the importance star on the right.

  • A device that receives your Microsoft lists through iCloud now says what is missing. Microsoft sign-ins do not travel between devices, so Ready offers the sign-in once and marks those lists until you connect the account here.

  • Filtering by account now works on every device that holds your Microsoft lists, not only the ones signed in to Microsoft. An iPhone or iPad that received the lists through iCloud can narrow My Day, My Week, Important and Upcoming too.

  • Important and Upcoming can now be filtered by account. A pill for each connected Microsoft account, plus one for local tasks, sits beside the view title — the same filter My Day and My Week already had.
  • Account pills now show how many tasks are behind them. The number sits beside the account's name on every view that has pills, so a pill you switch off still tells you what it is hiding.
  • Upcoming shows a task count in the sidebar, like My Day, Tasks and Important. (Mac only)

  • Open the email a task came from. Tasks Microsoft created from flagged Outlook mail carry an envelope in the task lists, and their detail offers "Open email in Outlook", which opens the original message.
  • Move a whole list to another Microsoft account. "Move to Account" in a list's menu — or dragging it into another account's section on the Mac — recreates the list and its tasks in the account you pick, and removes them from the one it left, after asking first.

  • Tasks show that they carry notes. A task with something written in its Notes field now carries a small notes icon in the task lists and on the My Week cards, next to the attachment and repeat icons.

Fixed

  • Opening a Markdown file no longer opens a second window. Double-clicking a .md file, or using Finder's "Open With → Ready", opens the document in the window you already have open. (Mac only)
  • A task created with AI lands on the board you made it from. Captures made in My Day, My Week, Upcoming, Important or a tag view now appear right there, as they do when you type the task yourself; a date the capture itself names still wins.
  • Moving a task to a list in another account works on iPhone and iPad. The confirmation it waits for is now shown there too, instead of the move quietly never happening. (iPhone and iPad only)

  • Name the section your Microsoft lists sit in. Every connected account gets a "Section name" in Settings › Accounts — call it "Work" instead of "Lists — you@example.com", and it reads that way everywhere its lists appear.

  • The Completed section covers the last 30 days. Task views list the work you finished in the past month; anything older stays in the app and in search, it just no longer fills up the completed area.

Fixed

  • Smoother interface while Microsoft accounts sync. Performance work across the task views: scrolling and typing keep up during a sync, and the sync itself finishes sooner.

  • Getting Ready approved by your organisation is easier. Settings › Accounts gives you a link to send to an administrator, who can approve Ready for your Microsoft account from any browser and see the result on the Ready website.

Changed

  • Notes and Markdown files read like a document. The text sits on its own sheet with the scroll bar at the far right, and paragraphs, headings, quotes and code blocks are spaced so sections stand apart.
  • Tables use the full width of the page. A table stretches to the same width as the text around it, and its columns share that space in proportion to what they hold, growing and shrinking as the window resizes.
  • The document's name moved off the page. Its title, notebook and linked tasks sit beside the create button at the top of the window, and in the title bar on iPhone and iPad — the page holds only what you wrote.
  • The sidebar fits more. Rows sit closer together and closer to the panel's edges, and names and section titles are set lighter, so more of your lists, notebooks and tags are visible without scrolling.

Fixed

  • The Voice Note control in Control Center works (iPhone and iPad only). Tapping it opens Ready and starts recording straight away, whether Ready was already running or not.
  • Typing a table no longer quits Ready (iPhone and iPad only). Writing a table into a note used to close the app part-way through; the rows now stay put as you type them.

  • Ready looks and reads the same on Mac, iPhone and iPad. Cards, lists and selected rows keep their contrast over any wallpaper or appearance, spacing and empty states match across the three, and the Mac sidebar separates its sections with a fine line.

Fixed

  • Voice capture dictates in Slovak, Czech, Polish and every other language your keyboard dictation offers. They used to refuse to record and point you at System Settings, where nothing helped. Ready now downloads the speech model itself on first use, still transcribing everything on your device.
  • Adding a task on iPhone works again. Return in "New task…" files the task into the list you are looking at, instead of doing nothing or landing it in the view you opened before, and the field stays ready for the next one on iPhone and iPad.
  • A note no longer shows its title twice on iPhone and iPad.
  • A linked task whose name wraps onto a second line no longer collides with its date and list.

  • Open any Markdown file without adding it to your library. Press ⌘O, or use Open With from the Finder or Files, and edit the file where it sits. The new Recents section in the sidebar keeps the last ten and reopens each one where you left off.
  • Voice capture dictates in far more languages, Slovak among them. Pick one in Settings → Intelligence, or under the microphone on the capture screen, which also shows the language it is listening in.
  • Copy and paste keeps its formatting. Text copied from a note lands formatted in Confluence, Word or Mail, and text from a browser or a wiki arrives as real headings, lists, checklists, quotes, code and tables. Paste and Match Style still pastes it plain.
  • The sync status covers every account, not just iCloud. Open it in the sidebar to see iCloud and each Microsoft account on its own line, when each last synced and what went wrong, and to sync your Microsoft accounts by hand.

  • Settings → General says what the second number is — "1.2.0 (build 4)" — and adds a What's New link that opens the changelog on the Ready website.
  • A task you just added appears at the top of the list, not at the bottom — including tasks arriving from Microsoft To Do and batches drafted by the assistant, which keep their own order. Dragging tasks into your own order still works.
  • Task lists read as an even, compact stack. Cards share one height with tighter gaps, so more fits on screen, and a long task name keeps to a single line instead of squeezing the date beside it — the full text is in the task detail.
  • A task created with AI stays in the account you are working in. Inside a Microsoft list it picks a list from that account, or that account's default list; from My Day, My Week and Tasks it lands in your local Tasks.
  • Lists you pick from now show which account they belong to — "account — list" in the task detail, "Move Task to…" and the AI card, local lists first and then account by account, so lists with the same name are easy to tell apart.

Fixed

  • Settings are reachable from every tab on iPhone — Notes, Tags, Assistant and Search each carry the gear now, not just Tasks.
  • Connecting a Microsoft account no longer asks for an application ID. Settings → Accounts just offers "Add Microsoft Account…" and takes you straight to the Microsoft sign-in.
  • Voice capture no longer refuses to record because of your region — an English device set to a country without its own English variant used to be told transcription was unavailable.
  • A long dictation no longer loses what you said before a pause.
  • The switches beside AI-suggested tasks are no longer clipped on iPhone and iPad.
  • A Microsoft account no longer syncs non-stop. A task deleted in Microsoft To Do could leave Ready retrying it every few seconds forever; it is now dropped from Ready and the account settles.

  • "Change Icon…" offers 48 icons instead of 15, on larger swatches grouped by theme, each with a readable name. The icons Ready's own sample notebooks use are in the list now — before, changing one meant you could not set it back.
  • Text, icons and controls follow the system text size, up to the accessibility sizes, across the app and the editor. Sidebar rows wrap instead of truncating, and the completion circle and importance star are easier to hit.
  • Raw Markdown can be turned on from the editor toolbar on iPhone and iPad — it used to be a Mac-only toggle.

  • The AI provider key had to be entered again after every launch of the downloaded Mac app. It now saves once and stays, and it syncs to iPhone and iPad.
